Most Leeds homeowners happy with their lot

Around 91 per cent of Leeds homeowners are happy with their current home, a housebuilder's Satisfaction Survey has revealed, beating the UK average of 80 per cent.

David Wilson Homes’, that has the Bodington Manor development in Adel, also revealed that rural homeowners are the happiest, with eight in 10 people saying they enjoyed living closer to the countryside, rather than cities and suburbs.

The survey, conducted among more than 5,000 homeowners in new build and older homes, discovered that 85 per cent of Leeds homeowners were satisfied with the price they paid for their home, indicating the quantity of affordable, quality housing in the area.

Leeds homeowners were also found to be happy with their house’s features, with 88 per cent of respondents highlighting they were pleased with aspects of their homes including the layout, number of bedrooms and off-road parking.

Adding to their contentment is the proximity to local transport links, with eight out of 10 homeowners citing accessibility to nearby towns and cities as a positive factor, higher than the UK average of 65 per cent.

Stacey Berkeley, Sales Manager at Bodington Manor, said: “These survey results reflect the brilliant living environment that Leeds offers its residents. It’s fantastic to see that local homeowners are so happy with the location they live in, with the area offering strong transport links alongside beautiful, rural living."

Bodington Manor offers a range of four and five bedroom houses. Homes are available to purchase from £509,995.
