Minster date for Cancer Haven

Over 400 people will descend upon the iconic Leeds Minster on Thursday December 13 for the annual Breast Cancer Haven, Yorkshire carol service.

Now in its ninth year, the service, sponsored by Barton Legal, will feature live performances from Soprano Katy Kelly, West Yorkshire Rock Choir, The CC Choir and Note-able Accordion Ensemble.

Readings will also be given by special guests: The Lady Mayoress of Leeds, Coun Pat Latty, Liz Bramall of The Liz and Terry Bramall Foundation, celebrity floral designer Jonathan Moseley, Miss Claire Murphy Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in Airedale and West Yorkshire Police Temporary Deputy Chief Constable, Russell Foster.

Lizzie Philpott, Events Fundraiser at Breast Cancer Haven, Yorkshire said: “At this year’s special carol service, we will welcome more guests than ever before who will enjoy an evening of fantastic live performances and readings.

“All money raised on the night will go towards supporting people affected by breast cancer in Yorkshire. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support.”

Breast Cancer Haven charity supports women throughout or after their breast cancer treatment through a tailored package of emotional, physical and practical support. It has five centres throughout the UK, including one in Yorkshire and a growing number of outreach.

Guests are invited to arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start, and following the service, a prosecco and canapé reception at the Minster will be served.
