Meet the YEP's brand new columnist

Kelly Pegg, the ‘filter-free wife’ who co-presents Radio Aire’s breakfast show, is going to put pen to paper for a new weekly column called ‘Is it just me?’

Each Thursday the mum-of-one will share her own stories about life with husband Chris and daughter Ava-Lilly, as well as giving her take on the showbiz stories and current affairs that have got people talking.

Kelly - who is branded the ‘filter-free wife’ by her co-presenters Ant Arthur and Michael Blades for revealing too much about her husband to the people of Leeds - said: “I’m really excited about it - and probably quite nervous too.

“I say what life is like for me as a mum and a wife and it’s definitely not perfect all the time.

“Most of my stories about Chris are really quite embarrassing for him!”

Kelly also said she was looking forward to writing for the people of Leeds - a city close to her heart.

She said: “I’ve been here a year now and it’s a beautiful city. I have fallen in love with it and feel very lucky.

“I feel the city is the best city outside of London in terms of shopping and things like that. The people are great too - they are so down to earth and just want to laugh and have a good conversation.”

Kelly can be heard every morning from 6am on the Kelly, Ant and Michael for Breakfast show on Radio Aire.
