Masked robbers subjected a woman to a "terrifying ordeal" when they snatched her Rolex watch in Leeds
Detectives appealing for witnesses following a robbery on Saturday at around 2pm outside Daisy Chain Flower shop on Street Lane in Leeds.
In their appeal, West Yorkshire Police said that suspects in a grey Audi A5, wearing masks, pulled up alongside the pavement and approached the 57-year-old woman.
"They knocked her to the ground and tried to take rings from her fingers, but failed and then stole a Rolex watch from her wrist and her handbag, before returning to the car and fleeing the scene," a spokesperson said.
The victim suffered face and wrist injuries as a result.
Detective Sergeant Ciaran Burns, of Leeds CID, said: “The victim has been through a terrifying ordeal when she was going about her daily business and has been left with injuries and extremely shaken by the incident.
“The incident happened at a very busy time of the day, where there were lots of people in and around the area.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information to come forward to assist with our enquiries.”
