Marvellous news! Lightning Seeds confirmed for gig in Leeds's Millennium Square

They've played the Glastonbury Festival, Liverpool's Anfield football ground and most points in between.

And now The Lightning Seeds are set to bring their much-loved brand of pure guitar pop to Leeds’s Millennium Square.

The band were today added to the bill for a previously-announced gig by The Pretenders on August 3.

The Lightning Seeds are best known for hits such as The Life of Riley, Lucky You, Change and Marvellous.

They also joined forces with comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner for England’s Euro 96 football anthem Three Lions.

Other acts playing Millennium Square over the summer include Plan B, Tony Hadley, Bananarama and Simple Minds.
