The first will be a Japanese restaurant named Issho and it will be followed by a Manhattan-style rooftop bar and grill, named East 59th.

Restaurant group, D&D London are behind the additions to Leeds’ thriving food scene and they already have Angelica and Crafthouse which have established themselves as city favourites following their opening in 2013.

Issho will be set across 7,800 square feet and comprise a rooftop bar and restaurant and outdoor terrace.

East 59th is named after the address of D&D’s New York outpost, Guastavino’s, and will have an American inspired menu overseen by Executive Chef Lee Murdoch. Taking inspiration from New York’s vibrant nightlife, East 59th will be a glamorous all-day grill, bar and rooftop terrace over 5400 sq ft and boasting panoramic city views.

Des Gunewardena, Chairman & CEO of D&D said: “This will be our second significant venture in Leeds and we enjoy very much being a part of the city’s growing restaurant scene”.
