Man suffers facial injuries during assault in east Leeds

A MAN suffered facial injuries during an assault in east Leeds today (April 24).

A police cordon was in place shortly after the attack on Torre Road at 8.54am.

Police said the 34-year-old man refused to receive medical treatment.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Detective inspector Andy Welbourn, of Leeds District CID, said: “Police were called to a report of an assault in Torre Road at 8.54am.

“A 34-year-old man had received facial injuries but was refusing medical treatment.

“A 61-year-old woman and a 41-year old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody.”
