Man hurt as firefighters tackle blaze at Leeds high-rise flats
A man was taken to hospital after a blaze at high-rise flats in Moortown this morning (Wednesday).
Fire crews from across Leeds were called at around 5.45am to Leafield Towers, off King Lane, after the fire started the eighth floor.
A man inside a flat, on the floor where the blaze broke out, was taken to hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.
At least eight fire engines attended to help extinguish the flames, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
