A car park in Leeds city centre has been cordoned off by police after a man was found with serious injuries.

The discovery was made just before 6am at the St John's Centre car park on Merrion Street.

The man, in his twenties, has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary for urgent treatment.

Police are at the scene to investigate how the victim came to be injured.
