A man is due to appear in court today charged with firearms offences as investigations continue into two shootings in Leeds.

Jordan Williams, 26, of Lock Lane, Castleford, is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a shortened shotgun.

The charges relate to an incident in Pasture Road, Harehills, on Monday, July 16, during which a 17-year-old male was shot and seriously injured.

The injured male has been previously charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and criminal damage.

He appeared at court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.

The charges he faced relate to an incident where a shotgun was fired at a house in Devon Close, Woodhouse, on Monday, July 16, and an incident at an address in Roundhay Grove, Chapeltown where a window was smashed the same day.

A 15-year-old male was charged last week over the same incidents and was remanded in custody after appearing at court.

Another 17-year-old male who was arrested last Thursday as part of the investigation was released under investigation.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incidents and want to hear from anyone who witnessed anything or has any information.
