Man cut from car in field

The driver of a car which left the road and crashed through a hedge into a muddy field had to be cut free by firefighters.

The incident happened on Weardley Lane, near Harewood House, Leeds, at about 1.30am today.

Firefighters said the man, who was in his 20s, was cut free from a Volvo and taken to hospital. No-one else was understood to be involved.
