A MAN was hit over the head with a laptop when burglars confronted him in his own home.

The 20-year-old man was injured during the incident at Delph Mount in Woodhouse, when he disturbed two male intruders as he returned home.

He struggled with one of the men before he was hit over the head with a laptop computer from the house.

The thieves fled taking two mountain bikes from the kitchen.

Police constable Chris Gardiner, of Leeds District Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “This was a shocking incident for the victim to come home and be confronted by burglars and then to be attacked.

“I would like to hear from anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation.”

Police have released an e-fit image of one of the men.

He is described as black, aged 18 to 19, slim and about 5ft 9ins tall.

He had facial hair and was wearing a black woolly hat and dark grey jacket.

The incident happened between 5pm and 5.20pm on Friday, November 7.
