Malala's arena date cancelled in Leeds
AN APPEARANCE by inspirational Taliban victim and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has been cancelled.
Ms Yousafzai, who was shot by the Taliban while travelling home from school in northern Pakistan in 2012, was due to appear at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on August 7.
A spokesperson said: “Due an unforeseeable, last minute scheduling conflict of Malala, we must regrettably cancel her appearance.
“She hopes to see you at a future date.”
Customers who bought tickets online through Eventim will be automatically refunded. Tickets bought at the arena will be refunded upon proof of identification.
