A series of road surfacing work beging across Leeds tonight.
Maintenance work will be carried out in Stanningley, Pudsey and Thorpe Park over the coming weeks, and will mean road closures and diversions will be put in place.
The first of the work starts this evening at the A647 roundabout on Stanningley Road, at the junction with the A657 Lower Town Street/Henconner Lane.
Work will be carried out nightly from 7pm to midnight until it is expected to be completed on Friday.
Road closures and diversions will be in place while the work is undertaken.
Beginning on Friday in Pudsey, work will then start at Lidget Hill, Church Lane and Lowtown, again taking place between 7pm and midnight Monday to Friday and on Sundays as required. Phased road closures and diversions will be established, with the work scheduled to be finished by November 24.
The final location for the works is Century Way at Thorpe Park in Austhorpe. Starting next Monday, the work will run until the end of January taking place Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and weekends as required. Road closures and diversions will also be in place here.
A spokesperson for Leeds City Council said: “All efforts will be made to carry out the works as quickly and efficiently as possible with the least possible inconvenience.”
