A road in Leeds will be closed for five weeks while a collapsed sewer is repaired.

The disruption on Weetwood Lane will begin from 10am today (Wednesday).

The road will be closed between Hollies Park and the University of Leeds’ Oxley halls of residence. Vehicle access will be maintained for all students and residents that live off the lane.

It is expected that the works will take up to five weeks to complete as large scale excavations are required. Diversion routes will be signposted around the area affected with signs visible at Lawnswood roundabout, the A6120, Weetwood Lane and Otley Road.
