Magic Weekend competition: Your chance to be Rhinos' mascot at Magic Weekend

THE YORKSHIRE Evening Post has teamed up with the Rugby Football League to offer one youngster the chance to be a mascot for Leeds Rhinos when they face Castleford Tigers at the Dacia Magic Weekend next month.

Rhinos will take on their arch rivals in the final game of the opening day, Saturday, May 19, at Newcastle’s St James’ Park. The winner will also receive four weekend reserved tickets, worth more than £200.

The prize is open to children aged from seven to nine.

The RFL will provide a t-shirt to be worn on the day, but the winner will need his or her own shorts, socks and boots.

The Dacia Magic Weekend is one of the highlights of the Betfred Super League calendar and will begin for the first time with a Championship clash when Toronto Wolfpack face Toulouse Olympique (12.45pm). Other fixtures on day one are: Widnes Vikings v St Helens (3pm), Wigan Warriors v Warrington Wolves (5.15pm) and Rhinos v Tigers at 7.30pm.

The following day, Salford Red Devils face Catalans Dragons (1pm), Wakefield Trinity play Huddersfield Giants (3.15pm) and the event closes with a clash between Hull and Hull KR (5.30pm).
