M621 road closure after man collides with car

Drivers are being advised to avoid the M621 northbound at Junction Two this evening following a serious traffic collision.

West Yorkshire Police said they are investigating after a male pedestrian collided with a car near junction two of the M621 northbound just before 5pm this evening.

The man has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries and investigations are underway to establish the circumstances of the incident.

A closure of the northbound carriageway is in place at junction two while investigation work is carried out.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police thanked drivers for their patience while necessary enquiries take place and advised motorists to seek alternative routes if possible.
