Located just outside the entrance for the shopping hub on Boar Lane, the Georgian church stands tall against the backdrop of shoppers who visit Leeds every day.

The church was built in the 1720s. In January 2013 it was refurbished, at the same time that the Trinity centre was built.

All the pews were removed, new toilets were built and the café was upgraded with new kitchen and serving areas.

The building has been the home of many music events, including the Handel Festival, and now hosts an arts centre to promote the careers of young musicians.

Its café offers a training opportunity for those who want to get back into employment.

Many charities use the facilities for activities to support those who are struggling.
