Shoppers are invited to take a jingle bell jaunt in the skies and head overseas from Leeds Bradford airport for their festive buys.

According to Jet2.com, a European city stay from Leeds may prove hundreds of pounds CHEAPER for shoppers than a train trip to London.

The airline is offering several festive Jet2CityBreaks from Leeds to Amsterdam, Paris, Dusseldorf and Cologne, and it claims to offer savings of up to £168 per person on a single three-night trip compared to London.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Christmas shopping breaks are a great way to get into the festive spirit and Europe boasts some of best seasonal settings on offer.

“People all too often miss out on the fantastic travel opportunities available on their doorsteps as they assume it would be too expensive or difficult to arrange.

“But, as our latest selection of packages show, this simply isn’t the case.

“When compared to London shopping trips, there are massive savings to be made by heading to Europe.

“We can only hope to see Leeds travellers making the most of our fantastic packages and we urge everyone to book ahead to avoid disappointment.”
