Members of the Fresh women’s group from Seacroft and Gipton have been working on their ‘Guardians of the Elements’ costumes for the this week’s Light Night Art Run.

The event is one of several being held during Light Night 2016 on Thursday and Friday, marking the 12th anniversary of Leeds’ biggest free annual multi-arts event.

Organisers have promised a dazzling array of illuminated lanterns, cyclists, walkers and runners for the city’s first ever light triathlon.

The event will include a water-themed lantern parade, which people from across Leeds have been taking part in by crafting their own lanterns at three city workshops.
