Bretski has been drafted in to add a splash of vibrant colour to the city’s presence at the two-day Silicon Milk Roundabout event in Brick Lane.

He will be joined by a range of digital and tech experts who will be extolling the virtues of living and working in Leeds to the thousands of jobseekers expected at the fair.

The city’s representatives in the capital will include Amy De-Balsi, founder of online jobs board Herd.

She said: “There are currently around 640 tech job vacancies in Leeds, an increase of 50 per cent in just six months.

“With several thousand jobseekers and more than 175 companies signed up to attend on Saturday and Sunday, the Silicon Milk Roundabout is the ideal location for us to tell people why they should consider joining the Leeds digital and tech revolution.”

The Leeds Tech Zone area at the fair is being supported by Leeds City Council and Leeds Business Improvement District (BID).

Bretski will be doing his bit to make it stand out from the crowd by creating pieces of street art reflecting some of the city’s best-known landmarks.

First staged in 2011, the Silicon Milk Roundabout is regarded as London’s premier tech jobs fair and is also held in places such as Edinburgh and New York.

The fair follows the success of last week’s Leeds Digital Festival, which celebrated the buoyant local tech sector with a programme of more than 50 events in 20 venues across the city.
