A new 65,000 square feet leisure sector opened in the White Rose Centre this week bringing new investment, new restaurants and a new drive to attract a wider range of customers.

Five new restaurants - Pizza Hut, TGI Friday’s, Five Guys, Chiquito, and Limeyard - opened in The Village and will be joined by Wagamama on Sunday.

The new restaurants in the sector, called ‘The Village’, will be joined by an outdoor children’s play area later this summer and an 11-screen IMAX Cineworld multiplex towards the end of the year, as the White Rose aims to provide the full ‘day-out’ experience for customers.

The new restaurants follow the opening of White Rose’s brand new Next store, which saw a £6 million investment to create the flagship store.

Steven Foster, general manager of White Rose Shopping Centre, told City Buzz: “We’re delighted to open The Village and welcome six new restaurants to White Rose.

“The forthcoming addition of our outdoor playground area and IMAX Cineworld will further solidify White Rose as an ultimate day-out destination.

“We’re really proud to introduce The Village.”
