A YOUNGSTER from Leeds has won a national talent competition and also paraded at Disneyland Paris after impressing judges.

Junior Frood, 10, from Meanwood, won the freestyle category in the National Finals for Talent Fest UK, which were held at the Winter Gardens Theatre in Blackpool.

Junior, a pupil at Carr Manor Primary, was named the UK Freestyle Dance Champion and awarded a week long summer school 2015 scholarship at Pineapple Dance Studios in London, where he will be taught at Pineapple dance Studios for a whole week with a final performance in London’s West End.

He is also just back from taking part in the Pre-Parade at Disneyland Paris, where he also came 2nd in Compete in the Magic Open Entertainment category after several auditions.

He got to dance alongside Mickey, Minnie and Goofy in the Opening Ceremony, which was choreographed by Disney Performing Arts.

Proud mum Kerry said: “There really is no stopping this boy. He really does have a massive future in performing and I’m sure we will see a lot more of him as he gets older.

“He already has been signed up for several performances for next year and has agents keen to sign him up. All he needs now is a local or national company to sponsor him to enable him to carry on living this dancing dream.”
