A north Leeds yoga studio is to feature on a special ITV show after the broadcaster filmed one of its classes.

Yoga Kula in Chapel Allerton will appear on a Tonight programme, The Truth About the Menopause, at 7.30pm on Thursday evening.

Film crews shot footage of the studio’s Well Woman yoga classes, taught by instructor Lara Heppell. The women taking part in the class are all regular participants who are also part of a wider community.

The show focuses on the issues affecting women going through the menopause, particularly in the workplace.

The Tonight programme speaks to women going through ‘the change’, their partners and families, to break the silence around the menopause. With over three quarters of women in work during their menopausal years, Julie Etchingham investigates whether employers are doing enough to support women as they work through what can be devastating symptoms.
