British Transport Police are appealing for information after a man was given homophobic abuse and assaulted at Leeds train station.

Officers have released images of two men they want to identify and speak to following the incident at 3.10am on Saturday, July 5.

PC Daniel Worthington said: “The victim, a 21-year-old man from Leeds, was in McDonald’s in the station when he was approached by four men. After chatting, the group followed him to the taxi rank where they shouted homophobic abuse. Two members of the group attacked the victim, punching him in the head and face before running off.”

He sustained swelling and bruising to his face and a cut lip following the attack. If you can help call 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 quoting log PSUB/B3 of 11/07/14.
