A PLUCKY Leeds teenager won a dream holiday after surviving a zombie apocalypse.

Amena Jefferies, 18, from Cross Gates was one of four winners of BBC Three show ‘I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse.’

The reality gameshow was set six months into a zombie outbreak and saw 10 survivors from across the UK head to an abandoned shopping mall that had been overrun by zombies.

Amena managed to evade the zombies for seven days and was rescued by an army helicopter.

She said: “I didn’t realise what I was getting myself in to and never imagined it would be so realistic.

“Winning was amazing. I went to Jamaica with my cousin Amber, and it was the best experience ever. It made the show so worthwhile. I went from being freezing and locked away from zombies, to sunbathing in 20 degrees.”
