Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to find after a taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint.

The 58-year-old picked up the man from Leeds train station at around 1.30am on Sunday, December 27, and drove him to Heights Drive, Armley, where he pulled out a knife and demanded cash.

The driver fought back and suffered a cut to his hand in the struggle before the robber was scared off by a passer-by.

He was white, in his late 20s, about 5ft 6in tall and stocky, with a local accent.

Anyone who recognises him should call PC Andy Porter at Leeds neighbourhood crime team on 0113 241 3433.
