A west Leeds community is set to be transformed with splashes of colour and artistic creativity this weekend during an annual event.

The Kirkstall Art Trail takes place across the suburb for the fourth year between 11am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The main site of this year’s event will be Kirkstall Abbey, where the event’s committee will be on hand to welcome visitors and volunteers.

But venues throughout the area will host a variety of exhibitions, free workshops and activities suitable for all ages and abilities.

More than 70 artists from Kirkstall and the surrounding areas are on board to show off their skills to visitors.

Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park and the Hollybush Conservation Centre will also be hosting events.

The full map of locations taking part will be available on the day, or online at www.kirkstallarttrail.com
