ART students in Leeds have demonstrated that they have designs on a bright future by staging a successful exhibition.

The exhibition, entitled Going Going Gone, showcased the work of final year students at Leeds College of Art.

Eye-catching pieces included everything from sculptures, paintings and prints to textiles, animation and photography.

Work that attracted particular attention included larger-than-life sculptures of lions by Michael Walsh.

Michael said he wanted to capture the excitement of seeing animals during childhood visits to Chester Zoo and Knowsley Safari Park.

The exhibition ran at the college’s Blenheim Walk and Vernon Street sites from last Saturday to Thursday. Many of the students will now get the chance to display their work at major graduate trade shows in London.
