A new travel planning chief is hoping to guide the White Rose Centre through its upcoming expansion.

Stephanie Hunter, travel planning coordinator at the Churwell facility, off Dewsbury Road, will help visitors get to and from the centre during a time of rapid change.

The construction of a new cinema, restaurants and new car park at the centre will start later this year. Stephanie will work with retailers, Leeds City Council and other partners in her role.

Centre manager Dean Stratton said: “White Rose already has very good travel links which are popular and well used by our customers and Stephanie’s new role is to help promote and raise awareness of all of the ways by which shoppers, cinema goers, employees and any other visitors can get to and from the centre and, as required, utilise parking spaces for cars and bicycles.”
