Leeds shop unit fire

Firefighters were called out after reports of a fire at a shop unit on Street Lane, near the junction with Moortown Corner at about 3am today.

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Leeds, Moortown and Cookridge attended the incident, which affected a shop unit about 20m by 40m.

It is understood the fire was limited to the ground floor building, the cause was said to be an electrical fault. No-one was injured in the fire.
