The annual Yorkshire Evening Post-backed Mission Christmas appeal aims to ensure every disadvantaged child in West Yorkshire has a gift to open on December 25.

Kayleigh said: “I love Mission Christmas because I know they help children in our local community who maybe wouldn’t get presents if it wasn’t for this appeal.

“I do understand times are hard but times are always harder for someone else. Do you really need that new bag or lipstick? I’m sure you’d feel much better if you could make a child in our city happy on Christmas morning.”

Radio Aire charity manager Lisa Sullivan, said: ”It’s wonderful to have amazing young people like Kayleigh supporting Mission Christmas.

“There’s no better message than children helping other children less fortunate than themselves. We currently have more than 22,599 local sick and disadvantaged children that need a gift this Christmas and so far we have only helped 3,490 children. You can drop off gifts here at Radio Aire until December 19 and at any B&M store until December 17. You can donate cash online at www.radioaire.co.uk/mission or text AIRE to 70808 to donate £5.

“Let’s bring back the magic of Christmas to these children”
