Venues including Millennium Square, Leeds Beckett University Student Union and the O2 Academy were taken over by fans before a 4,000-capacity aftershow party at Leeds First Direct Arena.

Festival organiser Ben Ray has helped to turn Slam Dunk into a national touring rock festival that will visit the University of Hertfordshire today and hits Wolverhampton city centre tomorrow.

Ben, who was given a shout out by festival headliners You Me at Six during their set, said: “It’s quite shocking really you never would have thought at the beginning that Slam Dunk would be a national touring rock festival.”

Slam Dunk Festival is in its 10th year this year and was crowned the nation’s best festival at the Kerrang! Awards 2014. Visit slamdunkmusic.com for information.
