THREE busy roads in Leeds were closed yesterday morning (July 14) as police dealt with serious traffic accidents.
Police were called to Shadwell Lane at its junction with Harrogate Road in Moortown just after 9.30am after a 72-year-old woman was involved in collision with a blue Range Rover.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
A pedestrian was seriously injured after she was involved in collision with a vehicle on Stanningley Road at its junction with Branch Road in Armley at 10am.

Woodhouse Lane near Leeds city centre was temporarily closed following a collision involving a car and a motorbike just after 8am yesterday.
And drivers are being warned of potential traffic delays in Leeds this Sunday when a police convoy will escort a slow moving lorry carrying a generator through the city.
The lorry, which is nearly 70m long, is due to enter Leeds from Junction 28 of the M62 at around 11am. It will carry the generator from Goole Docks to arrive Kirkstall electricity sub station at around 1pm.
Great George Street behind Leeds Town Hall is due to reopen to traffic tomorrow. It has been closed since Wednesday morning after a water main burst caused severe damage to the road surface. A diversion is in place via the Headrow and Calverley Street.
