Leeds Ring Road crash: Firefighters rescue person trapped in car after HGV crash near Lawnswood School

Firefighters have rescued a person trapped in a car following a serious crash in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service were called to Leeds Ring Road, West Park, at about 8.30pm on Tuesday.

A car had crashed with a heavy goods vehicle near to Lawnswood School.

The injured person was rescued from the car by firefighters from Moortown and Cookridge stations.

They were taken to hospital by ambulance.
