Leeds Rhinos superfan David Thorp has travelled to watch the team in all but one of their games this season.

Dressed in a superhero-themed Rhinos jacket, he said he’d seen the Rhinos play in every big final in recent years, but that today’s match was “the biggest ever”.

Mr Thorp, of Seacroft, was one of hundreds of devoted fans packed down the sides of Headingley Carnegie Stadium waiting to get on one of dozens of buses to travel to Old Trafford.

He said: “We are so close to the treble and I’m feeling nervous.

“I have seen all the Rhinos’ big finals and this one is the biggest ever.”
