Leeds Rhinos star Jamie Jones-Buchanan teamed up with two much-loved mascots to help kick off the countdown to this year’s BBC Children in Need fundraiser.

Jamie was joined by Rhinos mascot Ronnie the Rhino and Children in Need’s Pudsey during a visit to a sporting project in the city.

The project, called We Are Rhinos, is funded by Children in Need and delivers physical activities for hundreds of youngsters from primary schools in deprived parts of Leeds.

Jamie said: “It’s great to have Pudsey here with us and to be able to meet some of the children that benefit directly from BBC Children in Need funding.

“Come on Leeds, get fundraising to really help make a difference to young lives right here in Leeds, and across the UK.”

We Are Rhinos is run by the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, its parent rugby league club’s official charity.

Children in Need takes place this year on Friday, November 13.
