“Nervous” is the feeling being echoed by Leeds Rhinos fans ahead of the 6pm Grand Final kick off.

The Rhinos are hoping to achieve a historic treble with victory over Wigan today.

Richard Stockdale, of Belle Isle, is preparing to take his seat inside the stadium.

He said: “I’ve been calm all week but I’m a bag of nerves now as we’re getting closer to it.

“I just don’t want it to go the wrong way.

“It would be unbelievable for us to win the treble.”

Outside the East Stand, Harrison Wilkinson, 13, said he was excited ahead of the kick off with his grandad David Worsnop.

Harrison, who plays for Shawcross Sharks Juniors in Dewsbury, said: “I’m really excited, I want the Rhinos to win.

Mr Worsnop added: “I’m always nervous before big matches but I’m feeling brilliant. “The atmosphere here is great, it’s all so friendly.

“A win would be really special especially with the three lads leaving.”
