Leeds restaurant plans to be considered
Plans to open a new restaurant in Leeds will be considered by licensing chiefs next week.
Applicant Gerti Masllavica is seeking permission to open the Zorba Bar & Grill eatery, in Austhorpe Road Crossgates.
Councillors on Leeds City Council’s Licensing Sub-Committee will consider whether to grant a premises licence on Tuesday.
The application is for live music, Monday to Saturday, as well as the sale of alcohol and recorded music.
Six letters of objection have been lodged against the application, which are opposed on the grounds of “public nuisance”.
One objection said: “We strongly object to yet more noise in Crossgates at unsociable hours. Many nearby residents will feel the impact of this.”
The committee will consider the proposals at 10am on Tuesday, at Leeds Civic Hall.
