Leeds recommends: Child friendly places to eat and drink

Liz Cartwright. Millfield Beefeater, York. Very child-friendly and great staff. Lovely kids’ menu and the choice of food is excellent for all ages of children, not just the usual chicken nuggets and chips!

Nicola Parker. La Cantina 44 in Cross Gates, great with kids, adaptable menu, happy to share their large kids’ portions between two toddlers. Very family-orientated. All in all, a fantastic relaxed atmosphere.

Yi Steadman. Nando’s at White Rose Shopping Centre. I took my two little ones there and the staff are so wonderful and helpful. Also got free frozen yogurt as a treat to take out. It was lovely! Oh, Chicken was tasty too.

Julie Walker. Reds True BBQ in Leeds city centre is great for kids. They have a good food menu and have colouring competitions.

Zoe Barraclough. Boardway in Beeston. Me and the family love it there, and one time my child was crying and the manager came out with free ice cream. Such a lovely place for children - also they let you do parties and are so friendly.

Sian Rhall. Gusto’s in Cookridge are fantastic with children of all ages. The staff make them feel special and the children’s menu is superb. I would definitely recommend it.

Michael Lewis. Red’s True BBQ definitely. Menu for kids is spot on and they have crayons and great staff.

Kate Robbo. Ephesus in Rodley; no kids’ menu rubbish there, they just offer smaller portions from the main menu.

Cherie Stewart. Tea Cosies is nestled in the Yeadon high street and is a vintage tearoom and cakery including a full homemade menu catering for your little ones. A children’s afternoon tea is available as well! We loved their toy tea sets as well as the hand-knitted cakes and buns served on a afternoon tea platter for role play and for entertainment. As children love to copy they will love to imitate their grown ups by having their afternoon tea served just like them but food suitable for their tastes and age. The Veggie Cafe in Ilkley is a wonderful specialty cafe set in rustic style decor in a warm and welcoming environment with extremely friendly and helpful staff catering to vegetarian and vegan diets as well as gluten and dairy-free meals and treats for you and your little ones. They have a delicious and unrestricted homemade adult and children’s menu available as well as toys, activities for the little ones with highchairs and baby change available during their stay. Pushchair-friendly on the ground floor of the cafe. 
They have a tasty selection of homemade cakes and breakfast and lunch dishes available to suit dietary needs and these change often with new exciting flavours and tastes and their children’s menu is varied and exciting. We also like Taylormade Treats in Eldwick, Bingley.
The attention to detail is exquisite and the children’s afternoon tea not only kept within their theme but its contents were extremely creative, so age appropriate and most importantly was fun for the little ones to eat.
