Leeds recommends: Best place for pizza

Ed Gobey. Trattoria Il Forno in Horsforth. Proper wood-fired pizza oven. Recommended to eat in but also do takeaway.

Rick Poppa. The Woods do a selection of great pizzas made in a wood fired oven... so good (and that’s coming from a half Italian! And we all know Italians make the best pizzas!!

Mary Smith. That’s Amore, Stainbeck Road, Meawood. The best pizza and pasta in North Leeds.

Andrew Lawson. It’s a shame Il Forno was missed off the very tired and predictable shortlist for the Oliver awards this year.

Mark Allan. Cuccina, Stanningley Road.... been around for over two decades, run and owned by Italians who even make the dough daily for the bases - none of that pre-bought cardboard rubbish.

Lyndsay Marshall. Il forno in Horsforth is delicious! Love the calzones x

Adam Rollinson. Rajputs in Headingley. Nothing else can compete.

Dave Briggs-Jones. Buca Di Pizza, Wellington Street. Great selection of pizzas served in fabulous surroundings.

Michael Thackray. El Faro in Burley. Brilliant pizzas and burgers, foods always hot when delivered.

Gemma Davies. Harpo’s are the best and always have been. That’s Amore is also really good x

Al Dalton. Sambuca in Armley! Real Italian family, home-cooked food.

Michelle Mcmaster Was Bean. Da Mario’s on The Headrow...lovely.

Ernest Carr. Nothing can get near being as excellent as The Flying Pizza, Street Lane, Roundhay.
