A Leeds pub has been given an award for its 'food porn' qualities.

The Black Swan on Call Lane has been named the Yorkshire winner of the Food Porn Awards 2017 for its aesthetically pleasing pan fried snapper dish.

The casual dining establishment was recognised at the national ceremony, alongside fellow Yorkshire nominees The Grand Hotel in York 9 (autumn vegetables), The Star Inn at Harome (beetroot terrine) and Shoot the Bull.

Expert judges and Virgin Radio's Tim Cocker were on hand to present the pub's chef Christopher Owens with the gong at the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show.

Christopher said:

“Food is about so much more than just taste, dining has now become a full sensory experience. The pan fried snapper is a dish that hits these senses as soon as it is placed in front of the customer, creating a really impactful dish.

“We are thrilled to be crowned Yorkshire’s Food Porn Awards winners and we can ensure diners, our food tastes as good as it looks.”
