A city centre inn has been named the Best Cider Pub at the Great British Pub Awards.

Mr Foley’s Tap House on the Headrow triumphed at the London ceremony, and to celebrate its success, the venue is hosting a cider festival this Friday (October 28).

The event will feature over 50 different varieties of the drink from around the world, with a dedicated festival bar, food and live music. Entry is free.

Mr Foley’s is a York Brewery pub which regularly offers 24 traditional ciders on draught.

Manager Jason Allison said:

“We’re thrilled to have won this award and we’d love nothing more to celebrate our success with as many people as possible, so come and join us!”
