A Leeds physiotherapist has been suspended for a year from the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) register.
Andrew Daniel Brown, who worked at the William Merritt Disabled Living Centre in Armley, was sanctioned after a HCPC Conduct and Competence Committee heard of his rude and aggressive behaviour towards colleagues.
Mr Brown worked as a driver assessor at the centre, assessing the impact of medical conditions on a person’s ability to operate a car safely. Issues were raised about his time management, clinical reasoning, communication skills and attitude towards coworkers before a support plan was put in place in September 2012.
Ian Crookall, chair of the HCPC panel, said: “A period of suspension will give Mr Brown the opportunity to reflect on his shortcomings.”
The William Merritt Disabled Living Centre opted not to comment when approached by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
