Leeds news LIVE: Police close M1 near Leeds as woman brought to safety from bridge

There was queuing traffic on the M1 between Rothwell and Leeds (M621) this morning due to an earlier police incident.

The road was closed in both directions at 5am as West Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a woman on the wrong side of the railings on a bridge over the motorway.

The woman was brought to safety.
