Four workers from the Delivery Suite at St James’s Hospital cycled 127 miles from Liverpool to Leeds along the canal towpath, while Rachel Andrews drove their support van. Five more ladies walked the 14 miles from Saltaire to Leeds.

Midwife Shelley Cassere said the money raised would be used to enhance the environment with a water cooler and soft lighting, and provide more equipment used for examinations of newborns.
