THE RAWDON-BASED White Rose Chorus is inviting men to take part in a free four-week ‘Come and Sing’ course.

They want to encourage men to have fun singing familiar songs, learn about vocal technique and how to sing in harmony.

White Rose Chorus chairman Steve Smith, said: “Just about everyone can sing and choral singing is really popular at the moment - just look at the Gareth Malone series on TV.

“Singing is a great way to be part of a team, to relax, meet new people and do your health a bit of good too. Maybe it’s been a while since you sang, so this might be a way of getting your vocal cords back in action. We would love to see guys of any age come along and join us for a few evenings of music and conviviality.”

The course will be held from 7pm to 10pm on Monday nights from October 26 at Rawdon and Guiseley Conservative Club, Leeds Road, Rawdon LS19 6NL.
