Half-term might be coming to an end but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.
This Sunday (February 22) is your last chance to get animated with Shaun the Sheep The Movie at the National Media Museum, Bradford. Free activities for kids aged five and over will go behind the scenes of the animated “flockbuster”. Make your own stop-motion movie using Shaun and friends and discover how Aardman Animations make lambs leap and sheep fly, before having a go yourself. Go to www.nationalmediamuseum.org.uk.
Letting loose on the dancefloor might feel like a distant memory for many parents but non-alcoholic mini-festival Morning Gloryville Leeds will change all that. Kids are welcome so you can rave your way into the day together. The party kicks off this Wednesday at 6.30am at Belgrave Music Hall. There’s a free wake-up massage station; free yoga tasters; fresh coffee served by Laynes Espresso; a superfood smoothie bar; live art and a kids’ playzone. Under 12s get in for FREE. Tickets: bit.ly/mgleeds.
And finally, anyone with a newborn or friends who have recently “popped” knows Ewan the Dream Sheep is a life-saver for sleep-deprived mums. Now Russell the Dream Sheep Dog is here to take over from Ewan when tots hit 18 months. His voice recorder means parents can create soothing personalised recordings. Go to www.sweetdreamers.co.uk.
