Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice are rebranding one of their popular walks and are searching for someone to help them create an entirely new event.

The right person will have organised events in the past and understand the process involved in bringing an innovative event from conception right through to the delivery.

The walk itself will be held at the end of September, so the event lead volunteer will be working with the hospice fundraising team from June until the beginning of October.

A spokesperson from the Hospice said: “This is a great chance for someone who either wants to get into events management, or currently works in events and would like to use their skills to help their hospice.

“The support and time you volunteer to the hospice will help to raise thousands of pounds to go towards patient care.

“Supporting families across Leeds, you know your time and skills will be an invaluable resource to the team.”

Victoria Cadman volunteered with the fundraising team and is urging people to apply.

She said: “Volunteering at Wheatfields has increased my confidence massively.

“It’s such a lovely place to be, everyone is so friendly.

“Not to mention it’s a great place to pick up some experience and make a difference in your local community.”
