Bosses at Holbeck-based marketing agency Banana Kick have taken investing in their staff to the next level - with a chance to win a share of a £20,000 bonus pot if England lift the trophy in Moscow on July 15.

Banana Kick, which has created marketing campaigns for clients such as Asda, The Jockey Club, Nisa, Leeds Sports Awards and Plusnet, has put together a whole programme of events for staff throughout the tournament.

In addition to the cash bonanza, every game - including today’s England match with Tunisia - is being shown live in the office and staff are also being encouraged to enter into the Russian spirit at their own specially created vodka bar – the Tipsy Cossack.

And workers have been issued personalised passports that were stamped by a Russian border guard on entry to the office on the first day of World Cup action.

Passport numbers will be entered into a prize draw each day to win a selection of Russian goodies.

Each member of the team is also having a brand new World Cup makeover on the agency’s website.

Chief executive Gary McCall said: “As an agency that specialises in sport, leisure and retail, the World Cup is a big deal for us and our clients.

“Add in the fact that many of us here are huge football fans and we were determined to celebrate the World Cup in style.

“It’s also our tenth birthday this month, so England’s pivotal group game with Belgium on the 28th seemed like the perfect excuse for a party.

“It’s guaranteed to be a night to remember but an England win would really put the icing on our birthday cake.”
